Examine the social factors affecting survival the treatment of drug in addiction

Addiction is a social phenomenon which emanated from various causes and is effective in quitting many factors and it cannot be considered a factor in one single. So, the aim of the study was to examine the social factors affecting survival the treatment of drug in addiction treatment centers in the city. The study was causal-comparative. The study sample was all addicts of the city who had referred to addiction clinics in the city since 1393. The sample included 340 addicts (170 addicts with successful quitting and 170 addicts a slip) who were selected by multistage random sampling method. The data collected through a questionnaire of social commitment, social isolation, social control and attitudes to drugs. The data of this study were analyzed using independent T-Test and using the software spss23. The results showed that there are significant differences between addicts with successful quitting and addicts a slip on the social commitment, social isolation and social control variables (p<0.05).But there is no significant difference between the two groups in attitude to drugs (p>0.05). Results indicate the importance is social commitment, social isolation and social control of the lasting treatment. Therefore, it is suggested according to social issues in addiction treatment clinics. |
