The purpose of this article is to determine the effective relationship between social capital and its components with the urban governance of the citizens. In this paper, law enforcement, accountability, responsiveness, transparency, participation, effectiveness and efficiency, strategic vision, justice, and coherent orientation are considered according to Kaufman's view; and the relationship of these dimensions with the components of social capital (social participation, social trust and social cohesion) has been studied. The research method is descriptive-correlational survey and the tool used is a researcher-made questionnaire. The statistical population of the population was 20 to 45 years old in the city of Qhaen. Based on the Cochran formula, a sample size of 400 citizens was selected using multi-stage cluster sampling. The Cronbach's alpha, urban governance questionnaire, was (0.87 percent) and social capital questionnaire was (0.90 percent). Data were analyzed according to descriptive and inferential statistics using SPSS statistical software. Results show that there is a significant relationship between social capital and urban governance (P≥0,000). Based on multiple regression analysis, the findings showed that 69 percent of variance of dependent variable (urban governance) was explained and predicted by the independent variable of social capital And the correlation of each of the dimensions of social participation (0.61), social trust (0.59) and social cohesion (0.53) with urban governance indicate that social capital and its components can be a powerful predictor of urban governance in the communitystudy.
